1. What This Service Is
Lompoc Residents Directory is a private reference for public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections connected with Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a city, county, state, federal office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Permitted and Prohibited Uses
Use the pages only in a lawful way. You may not use the service or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm another person
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
- Make a decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, duplicate, or republish the pages at scale
- Disrupt the service, bypass security, or interfere with its operation
3. No Consumer Reports
The service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Neither the reference text nor results returned by a linked tool are consumer reports. They may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.
4. Outside Links and Providers
County, city, state, federal, library, archive, and sponsored-search links are operated by other parties. Their terms, privacy practices, prices, availability, and results are outside the operators' control. Use each external service under its own rules.
5. No Warranties
The pages and links are supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis. No warranty is made that a record summary, coverage date, fee, office detail, external portal, or result is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or an outside resource, including an action or decision based on information found through them.
7. Your Responsibility to Indemnify
You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Copyright and Site Materials
The original writing, layout, design, logo, and page structure are protected by copyright. Ordinary linking and short attributed quotations are welcome. Full-page republication, systematic copying, and large-scale extraction are not permitted.
9. Revisions
The operators may revise these terms by posting a replacement version. Continuing to use Lompoc Residents Directory after an update means that the revised terms are accepted.
10. Access Restrictions
Access may be blocked or limited when a person violates these terms, abuses the pages, threatens security, or uses the service in a harmful way. The operators may take that action without advance notice.
11. California Law
These terms are governed by California law, without applying its conflict-of-law rules. Public-record references are informed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 and following. Privacy references include the California Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Those citations describe the public-law context; they do not make this private reference a government custodian.
12. Severability
If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
