Information You Submit
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the third-party provider that returns those results. Lompoc Residents Directory does not keep a copy of the search on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message contains whatever information you choose to provide, which is used to respond or address the issue raised.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may record ordinary technical details such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Those logs help maintain the service and measure page use in aggregate. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where those services are enabled.
How Information Is Used
Collected information is used to operate the pages, diagnose faults, understand broad traffic patterns, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and the operators do not intentionally build a profile of an individual reader from these logs.
External Links and Search Tools
Pages link to Santa Barbara County, City of Lompoc, California, federal, library, archive, and third-party resources. When a reader follows a link or uses a sponsored search tool, that provider's privacy policy controls the submitted information and its handling. Lompoc Residents Directory does not control those outside practices.
Who Receives Technical Data
Hosting and support vendors may process server logs to keep the pages available. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. It is not otherwise disclosed as a visitor list.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection where available, and technical logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no user accounts on Lompoc Residents Directory, so the service does not maintain a reader password or profile that could be exposed.
People Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor's information is sent through the contact route, use the Contact Us page so the operators can review and delete it when appropriate.
California Privacy Rights
California's Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, can provide rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit some sensitive-information uses, and avoid discriminatory treatment when the law applies. The California Attorney General's CCPA guidance explains those rights. Because the service keeps little direct visitor information, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and available logs.
Public records held by the City of Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, California agencies, courts, or libraries are outside the operators' control. Requests about those records must go to the custodian. California's DROP platform also addresses registered data-broker deletion requests; it does not amend an underlying official record. Send a request about data held by this service through Contact Us.
Changes to This Policy
When the privacy practices or legal details change, a revised version will be posted here with its updated text. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
